Aerial Work at Everest Region!

Aerial work is one of the difficult action to perform in higher altitude which was performed by Fishtail air and has successfully completed on May 12, 2017 in Everest Region-Lobuche Glacier (4940m) and Gorakshep Glacier (5164m). Our AS350 B3e (9N-AJQ) was piloted by Caption Maurizio Folini and supported by Technician Mr. Hari Giri for this action. This aerial work was for Glaciology Study.

Fishtail Air’s Newest Heli is ready to operate in Nepalese sky!

Fishtail Air’s most awaiting and featuring newest heli with a model of AS350 B3+  and call sign ‘9N-AJR’ with a capacity of flying up to 23,000 feet (AMSL) is ready to operate for its commercial  fight (Aerial Survey, Sightseeing, Mountain Flights, Medical Evacuation, Corporate Charter, Human/Cargo sling Operations, High Altitude Operations and other special adventure missions.

Fishtail Air now operates three helicopters AS350 B3e (9N-AJQ), AS350 B3+ (9N-AJR) and BELL-206 (9N-AII) on its fleets. Along with this, Fishtail Air is adding more two Bell 505 Jet Ranger X Helicopters within next year. Fishtail Air will be at best to serve and provide proper facilities to its clients.

Fishtail Air’s newest helicopter is ready to fly in Nepalese Sky. The chopper with registration sign ‘9N AJQ’ is an “AS 350 B3e” model was brought from Heli Linth, Switzerland. Fishtail Air now operates with 3 helicopters with Bell206 and AS 350 B2 already on its fleet.

MAF Fishtail Collaboration goes beyond a year

The collaboration of MAF International, a Christian Organization that flies in the most isolated communities of the world to support the extremely suffering mass of people, & the Fishtail Air, a leading Helicopter Operators of Nepal has been a year.

After the devastating quake that struck Central Nepal in early 2015, these two organizations began their collaboration under Earthquake Relief Campaign in Nepal. During one year collaboration, MAF & Fishtail Air undertook humanitarian tasks to several isolated quake affected villages. Basic needs like food & water, temporary settlements, Medicine supplies & clothes were delivered to these villages where roadways had no links at all. Moreover, the rescue & evacuation of people trapped in the debris of the quake were also done at large scale.

Fishtail Air would like to congratulate all the personals directly & indirectly related to yearlong collaboration of MAF & Fishtail Air. We also hope the continuity of collaboration that has served the humankind in extreme crisis.

Fishtail on Rescue Mission after the devastating Earthquake

The devastating earthquake of moment magnitude 7.9 that hit Nepal on April 25 2015 has shaken the entire world. Over 7500 lost their lives and count is still ongoing, twice as much have been injured and billions worth of infrastructures including heritage sites, human habitats and social properties have turned into the debris.

The devastating earthquake also triggered Highland Himalayan Region resulting avalanches in Everest and Langtang Regions, which claimed the lives of over 250 people. Fishtail Air expresses deepest condolences to all those victims who could not survive the cruelest form of nature’s destruction.

However, the team of Fishtail Air feels proud to serve the country and humankind during such tragic moment. The team of Fishtail Air operated Rescue Missions in the most affected regions. The team of pilots including Reto, Maurizio and Ashish Sherchan operated frequent flights in Fishtail Helicopters to Everest Region and rescued the climbers who were trapped in between Camp I and Everest Base Camp during the catastrophic avalanche triggered by the quake. Piloting AKA, AII Helicopters the team of Fishtail Pilots including Niklas, Ranjan, Sujal, Yogendra Mukhiya and Deepak Jung Rana operated rescue missions in the most affected districts like Gorkha Dhading, Nuwakot and Rasuwa. Overall Fishtail Air has brought 1000 victims back to Kathmandu.

Fishtail Air facilitated the world’s most elite Adventure Everest Skydive

Everest Skydive 2014 has been concluded recently on 7th and 8th November. Fishtail Air, the exclusive facilitator of Everest Skydive once again showed its active participation during the event. Everest Skydive, an elite Adventure on the top of world, which is keenly observed by the professional skydivers of the world this year had six skydivers including the crew.

Fishtail Air took six flight loads during the two day event- three each a day. Fishtail AS 350 B3 Helicopter flew to altitude above 15000ft carrying skydivers, who executed tandem and solo jumps from staggering height. Italian Pilot Maurizio Folini took five flight loads and Captain Deepak Rana carried a load with Fishtail Air Helicopter during the event.

Fishtail Air bags first prize in ICAO photo competition!

On the Occasion of International Civil Aviation Organization day,  Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation organized a photo competition on 7th December 2012.

Picture by Mr. Ranjan Limbu of Fishtail Air bagged the first prize. the concept of the winning picture was conceived by Capt. Deepak Rana also from Fishtail Air.5th Position was taken by the picture taken by Ms. Wendy Elizabeth of Everest Skydive 2012. Likewise a picture taken by the joint team of Air Zermatt, Switzerland and Fishtail Air during the highest sling rescue in Annapurna Region took away the 6th position.

Chief guest of the program was Hon. Minister for Tourism Post Bahadur Bogati.
